Upsetting the IRA/DUP Applecart.

The Working Class loyalist flag protesters, who are on the verge of upsetting the undemocratic, gerrymandered, totally unrepresentative IRA/DUP apple cart up at Stormont, must not allow their popular democratic campaign in defence of the democratically chosen National Flag of Northern Ireland, to be nullified or usurped by the failed Grand Old Duke of Yorkers, and Fur coat Unionist politicians who have betrayed our trust repeatedly in the past.          These never, never, never treacherous imposters, must be peacefully forced to withdraw from the Stormont Charade thereby causing its collapse.          The deliberately undemocratic refusal by the IRA/SDLP/Alliance coalition to participate in legitimate discussions, on the flying of the National Standard at Stormont, the National Seat of Government in Northern Ireland, renders the present Assembly deliberately bigoted, sectarian, and totally unfit to continue in its present form.          After the collapse of the present assembly, there should be an immediate Northern Ireland Referendum, on a straight forward Union with Great Britain, or United Ireland basis.  Followed by a properly democratic first past the post election of a properly democratic assembly.    The undisputed National Standard of the democratically selected Nation, would then be able to fly without dispute from all Government buildings and the perpetually whinging little Irelanders would be left without a legitimate leg to stand on.

Where Now-The No Surrender Men?

Another biting article from regular contributor, Charlie Freel.  In recent days we have once again seen the true colours of our so called representatives.  It seems that the old practice of working class Protestants being led by the snouts by unscrupulous politicians is still very much on the agenda.

Wanted Immediately-United Northern Ireland Loyalists.

WANTED IMMEDIATELY, UNITED NORTHERN IRELAND LOYALISTS.

In the early days of this site, the question was asked, define loyalist.  The unchallenged reply was as follows.   A Northern Ireland Loyalist is someone who is prepared to defend, by use of force if necessary the democratically expressed right of the population of Northern Ireland, to decide their own destiny, even if he or she does not agree with that destiny.

Flag Protests–Who Is to Blame?

The actions of the many disgruntled Unionists who have taken to the streets over the past week need to be looked at in the context of how things have been moving politically in Northern Ireland.

Undoubtedly the Republican PR machine led by Sinn Fein has been in overdrive for a long time now. Declan Kearney reaching out the hand of friendship to Unionist, asking for wee quiet fireside chats. Remember Gerry talking about his Unionist brothers and sister? The headlines made by Niall when he was Mayor and visited the bottom of the Shankill as one of his first engagements. Martin McGuiness hand in hand with his bedfellow Peter Robinson condemning armed Republican actions. The examples go on and on. Yes they have been milking any and every opportunity to look like the great peacemakers.

The PUP,the People, and the Politics of Unarmed Resistance.

This article, written by BRIAN ROWAN, fist appeared on EAMONN MALLIE’S website on November 20th.

It was one of those jump out lines, found on the Official PUP twitter account; a couple of sentences that tell the story of a continuing struggle for hearts and minds inside a section of the loyalist community.

It read: “Restructured, Prepared and Ready for ‘Unarmed Resistance’. Let’s do it for the people.”

I asked what it meant, and this was the response: “Simple – politics is the way forward …we all need to travel that road.”

The PUP is aligned with the UVF and, recently, the leaders of both Billy Hutchinson and John Graham sat in the same workshop at a conference that discussed progress in a conflict transformation project specific to this section of the loyalist community.

More than five years have passed since the leadership of the UVF set a target of “civilianisation” as a public statement that its ‘war’ was over.

Loyalists Left Out In The Cold

The Irish Daily Star’s Northern Political Columnist, DR JOHN COULTER, maintains that the main Unionist parties must bring the loyalist community in from the political cold if they are to undo the flags debacle caused by the Alliance Party.

Arthur McMorrow Kavanagh

Arthur MacMorrough Kavanagh Portraits disguised his disabilities

Born without arms or legs, Arthur MacMorrough Kavanagh was an adventurer who rose to become a successful politician. Widely revered as a prodigy, he was also part of a rich and powerful family, writes Nicholas Whyte.

He was the heir to the ancient kings of Leinster. He was a horseback messenger for the East India Company in the 1850s. He wrote a book about hunting and painting on the borderlands between Greece and Albania.

A Response To The Removal Of TheFlag

THE FOOLS, THE FOOLS, THE FOOLS, THEY HAVE LOWERED OUR NATIONAL FLAG,

THEREBY RAISING FOR US A BATTLE STANDARD, WHICH WILL RALLY AND UNITE THE LOYALIST WORKING CLASS.

Last week the no doubt sincere yet totally naive, peace at any price Alliance members on Belfast City Council, allowed themselves to be misused by the IRA to defy the democratic will of the vast majority of the people of Northern Ireland, by the lowering of the National Flag of Northern Ireland at Belfast City Hall.     Yet again the Alliance party has fallen for the age old IRA tactic of, demanding the totally unachievable, safe in the knowledge that the head in the sand Alliance Party would propose a nearly unachievable IRA  wish, as a peace at any price compromise.     This time I think we can safely predict that the Alliance party fence straddlers,  have finally managed to castrate themselves.    I have absolutely no doubt that  they will lose the East Belfast seat at the next Westminster Election, their present sitting MP Naomi Long, only managed to secure the seat at the last election, because of a protest vote by the Loyalist Working Class, against the antics of Swish Family Robinson.    Thanks to the treachery of the Alliance party at the City hall, and the treachery of the never, never, never, DUP up at Stormont, where the National Flag of Northern Ireland can also only be flown on designated days with IRA permission, the Loyalist Working Class are now united under the same Battle Standard that United us during the Ulster Workers Strike of 1974.   This time,  let us retain and use that unity and power for the good of the United Loyalist Working Class.

Contradictory and Sad: A Review of the McGurk’s Massacre Book.

Contradictory and Sad.

I bought Mac Airts book so at least I could say that I had read it for myself. I started with an open mind as I knew it would centre on the premise that the state forces had started the rumour that the Mc Gurks explosion was an own goal. From the start I need to say that I am sorry that Ciaran never grew up to know his grandmother  – like so many others in this ugly mess.
