It\u2019s too late.<\/h2>\n

Reading the Dandy and watching your team play,<\/p>\n

D.M.s and skinners, \u00a0homework on the bus<\/p>\n

Collected the boney, what was the fuss.<\/p>\n

We didn\u2019t start the fight, we put no one down<\/p>\n

Born to one\u00a0 flag and told this is our ground<\/p>\n

Told of taigs and rebels, \u00a0you\u2019ll \u00a0fight nail and tooth<\/p>\n

We didn\u2019t know what coming, for the loyalist youth.<\/p>\n

Seen the riots on TV, \u00a0\u00a0the bodies on the ground<\/p>\n

Had to grow up fast, for fear is all around<\/p>\n

Parts of our country is lost to the other side<\/p>\n

Our country is calling, \u00a0lets go for\u00a0 a ride<\/p>\n

Real rifles cracked, \u00a0bombs lit up the sky<\/p>\n

Where are our young men, so we answered the cry.<\/p>\n

Parents worried sick, while politicians twisted the truth<\/p>\n

But its already too late for the loyalist youth<\/p>\n

We marched and trained, and swore loyalty to the clan<\/p>\n

Trained with real guns and took orders to a man<\/p>\n

Our knowledge was poor but passion was great<\/p>\n

We stood by each other and then met our fate<\/p>\n

We stood in the court before our own crown<\/p>\n

The judge looked puzzled but still sent us down<\/p>\n

We had done our duty,\u00a0 to fight off the\u00a0 south<\/p>\n

But it was too late for a loyalist youth.<\/p>\n

We learn the reality as our mothers cry<\/p>\n

Boys grow into men, \u00a0in a cage of wire<\/p>\n

We seek our own truth and see who\u2019s the liar<\/p>\n

Our sentence is served and freedom arrives<\/p>\n

But the world it has\u00a0 changed, so what of our lives?<\/p>\n

Go back to the family and fight the untruth<\/p>\n

But it\u2019s still too late for the loyalist youth.<\/p>\n

Doors are locked and minds are not right<\/p>\n

Jobs \u00a0are denied while the gutter dogs write<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a\u00a0 different world and it\u2019s not mine<\/p>\n

We\u2019re a generation born, \u00a0at the wrong time<\/p>\n

Never forgiven and always remembered<\/p>\n

Old men now; \u00a0but more even tempered.<\/p>\n

Life\u2019s moved on but the past is our truth<\/p>\n

It was always too late for our loyalist youth.<\/p>\n
