S.A.S.H at the Etcetera Theatre Company Launch Linen Hall Library.

\nToday a few members of S.A.S.H had the pleasure of witnessing the launch of Etcetera Theatre Company within the Linenhall Library.<\/p>\n

Not enough people from within the PUL community get involved, be it for political, confidence, lack of understanding or whatever other reasons there may be, within the Arts & Drama scene.<\/p>\n

However with this Company, & with Writers like William Mitchell & Robert Niblock, Writer of, A Reason to Believe, http:\/\/www.britishtheatreguide.info\/reviews\/reasonbelieve-rev<\/a>,
\ncomes a real chance that this is about to change.<\/p>\n

This community, the Protestant Unionist Loyalist Community, for whatever the reasons, some sinister, many not, has not had its full & real story told, & this company, & I hope that others will take guidance from them & follow suit, is going to have a go at changing that, & for that in itself, those involved within it should be congratulated for what they are doing.<\/p>\n

Within the PUL community many will be guilty of saying, & I\u2019m sure we have all said it or heard it before, Why Is Nothing Wrote About Us, Why\u2019s It Always Bad When It Comes To Us.<\/p>\n

I personally believe that the answer to this, in all honesty, is that we did not, within our community, fully grasp the importance, until recent times, & the awakening of some within the PUL community, of Capturing, Compiling, Recording & Recounting our history Ourselves.<\/p>\n

We cannot blame the Catholic Nationalist Republican communities for grasping the importance, & using media & drama to the best of their abilities, to highlight what they hold dear.<\/p>\n

We can now say though, that we are gaining the knowledge & confidence to start doing likewise ourselves.<\/p>\n

It really is refreshing & enlightening to see this theatre company come on the scene & I truly believe, having listened to those at the opening, that they have the energy, the desire & the will to make a difference.<\/p>\n

What comes along with companies, like Etcetera Theatre Company, is a chance for members of our community to flourish, learning how the write, learning how to act, learning how to communicate & integrate with people & groups that we never would.<\/p>\n

If your into the Acting & Drama scene in any way, the future looks good, for this, I believe is only the start of something very big indeed.
